Neighborhood Roots

"Neighborhood Roots: Sugar Beets to Cotton and Beyond" at Heroes Regional Park Library, Glendale AZ, consists of three integrated art elements: A stainless steel relief sculpture, sandblasted glass, and a terrazzo floor. Images celebrating local flora and fauna are woven with whimsical design into an undulating latticework of line drawings, welcoming visitors into and through the library. A companion mural, "Fiction is Freeing" graces the children’s area, adding a diverse community of quizzical birds and fish who celebrate the magic of imagination.
